Meet the artista: Rafael Nagai

Rafael Nagai, 33 years old, 16 years experience as illustrator. Graduated in Digital Design, lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

He’s the artist behind Nagaiverse, illustrating the iconics Pop Culture characters.

In his many passion he found in art the way to express himself.

It started in 2009 by publishing his illustration in a blog, on Blogpost. The initial idea was just to have a place to share his sketches and projects.

Then the hobby became a business and since then he has illustrated illustrated characters from movies, tv series, animations, Hollywood stars, musicians and digital influencers.

One of the biggest stars who has liked his job, is James Gunn, writter, director and movies’ producer, from Marvel Studios and DC, responsible for blockbusters like Guardions of the Galaxy, Avengers and Suicide Squad.

Rafael Nagai also has in his portfolio illustrations for brand and digital agencies: doodles for sneakers package, Food and Beverage, stamps for T-shirts, logotypes and interior design, etc.
